Purpose of this blog
Even though I am not an avid social media user, I do browse more than I like to admit. Creating a profile on a big platform and sharing my ideas and work there definitely would have its benefits in terms of reach. The network effects are significantly bigger hence I would probably meet more interesting people doing that.
I think I started feeling more and more estranged on platforms like LinkedIn, X and others as I see more and more AI-generated content, AI-enhanced ideas and perfect grammar with all the emdashes and Oxford commas. I confess that I used an occasional ChatGPT or Gemini to polish up my posts. Who doesn’t at this point? Anyway, I am not against AI use. I use it daily for lots of things including coding, brainstorming and writing documents. I guess I just wanted my little corner of the internet where I wouldn’t have to think about likes, comments, followers and feel the urge to be interesting. Also, I feel the need to share my own thoughts from time to time and I don’t necessarily want to build my castle in someone else’s kingdom.
